about
Hi, I'm David.
I am a UK-based Art Director working across major film and High-End TV productions, as well as Production Designing many independent short films.
My approach to the Art Department is deeply rooted in my background in architecture. I originally trained as an architect, studying at the Glasgow School of Art and University of Edinburgh. Ultimately, my love for narrative storytelling drew me toward the film industry. I went on to graduate with an MA in Production Design from the National Film and Television School.
Today, I specialise in 3D modelling and concepting, bringing a structural eye to cinematic world-building. I love the challenge of taking a world from an initial concept to a fully realized physical set.
Some of my recent Art Director credits include Enola Holmes 3 (Legendary Entertainment), A Quiet Place: Day One (Paramount Pictures), and Slow Horses (Apple TV).
Currently updating my webbsite so please check back soon to take a look at my recent work, and feel free to say hello!
